“This is a really worthwhile charity and I am delighted to see that Robert, with others has taken the initiative to provide support, advice and a much needed community group for Veterans to go and talk to people in similar circumstances. It really is a sorry state-of-affairs in our society that those who put their lives on the line for Queen and country, those who fight to secure our freedom do not receive the care or support that they should following discharge.
Beyond The Battlefield aim to act in a number of various roles, such as providing somewhere for like-minded veterans to meet, along with financial advice and ensuring that veterans receive all the benefits that they are entitled too.
Undoubtedly though one of the most important is in their treatment of PTSD, alcohol and substance abuse, relationship difficulties and the numerous other problems that ex-service men and women can face when returning home following their discharge.
This is a fantastic charity which I wholeheartedly endorse, and I look forward to the numerous events and fundraisers which will be organised for the charity.”
