This is a really worthwhile charity and I am delighted to see that Robert, with others has taken the initiative to provide support, advice and a much needed community group for Veterans to go and talk to people in similar circumstances
The Democratic Unionist Party met yesterday with a representative from ‘Beyond the Battelfields’, a local charity focused on dealing with trauma and stress faced by former service personnel. Junior Minister Jonathan Bell met with Mr Robert McCartney along with Lagan Valley MP Jeffrey Donaldson and MLA Brenda Hale.
Beyond The Battlefield recently received direct communication from the UK Prime Minister, David Cameron. Within the correspondence, David Cameron said: I am absolutely committed to ensuring that our former Armed Forces personnel receive the care and support they deserve.
