Beyond The Battlefield recently received direct communication from the UK Prime Minister, David Cameron.
Within the correspondence, David Cameron said:
I am absolutely committed to ensuring that our former Armed Forces personnel receive the care and support they deserve. Whilst central Government plays its part, the contribution of devolved and local Government is equally important. The support of the charitable sector is also vital.
Mr Cameron went on to say:
I am always pleased to hear of new initiatives which seek to help our former Armed Forces personnel. Through the Armed Forces Covenant and Grant Schemes, financial support can be made available to assist in starting and maintaining these initiatives. I know that you have also written to the Armed Forces Minister at the Ministry of Defence and that a Defence Minister will be writing to you shortly, to explain how to seek support and assistance with the development of your Charity.
The team at Beyond The Battlefield are looking forward to future contact with Mr Cameron and appreciate his support of our Charity.
