Metro Veterans Save Army Reservist From Losing Her Home At Christmas
A metro Army Reservist who is a single mom nearly lost her home, but local veterans stepped in to help.
The Dale K. Graham Veteran’s Corner in Norman helps about 150 veterans each week with benefits and claims. This year, the group made the single mom its Christmas project.
“It took a lot from me to actually admit that I needed help, mainly because when you are in the military you are told, you know, man up,” said Rosa Florence. “So I had to hit rock bottom before I actually admitted I need help,” she added.
Florence has been an Army Reservist with the 401st Engineer Company in Mustang for five years.
Several financial hardships hit her all at once.
