Mr Paul Hastings had organised to be part of the Portaferry Triathlon on Saturday 18th August 2018, for which we he been raising funds.
Unknown to Beyond the Battlefield Paul become very ill with a chest infection and therefore did not swim in Strangford Lough as his part in the Triathlon.
Those of you who generously sponsored Paul have the option therefore of having your money returned to you by contacting Annemarie or Robert on 02891228389.
In the event any of you wish to continue to donate your money to the Charity it will be used for the same purpose ie counselling veterans and their families who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
In total we raised £340.50 of which £100 was donated to Paul from Betty Blacks in Bangor which Paul is returning today, at which stage it is up to the owner to decide what he wants to do.
