TAUNTON — Morton Morin said the fact that the number of World War II military veterans like himself are steadily dwindling is all the more reason to try to retain a sense of historical memory by stressing American military history in schools.
“The education is lacking,” said Morin, 90. “They need to start teaching it in grammar school and stop writing history as just the winners or losers.”
